"Russell first performed on television at the age of 6. It helps when
your parents are location caterers. Then at age 12, while on a school trip,
he talked his way into a part on 'The Young Doctors'."
Soon after Russell moved to New Zealand. While completing High School
he was a member of various rock 'n' roll bands. This led to some success
with the release of records both as artist and producer.
One of his original songs "What's the Difference?" was used as the theme
song for the 1984 New Zealand Music Awards.
Since arriving back in Australia Russell has done numerous television
commercials and training films as well as appearances on "Rafferty's Rules"
and "Neighbours".
1988 looks to be a productive year for Russell, seeing the release of his
first record in Australia and his portrayal of Mickey in the Wilton Morley
production of "Blood Brothers" in August. This is Russell's third tour of
"Rocky Horror" playing the dual role of Eddie and Dr. Scott."
